Big Update On Zelina Vega’s WWE Return

Zelina Vega (Thea Trinidad) was said to be planning a return to the SmackDown brand as a heel, and she might be back in the mix later this month.

After being spotted at the WWE Performance Center in May, it was confirmed in early June that Vega was returning to the company. Following disagreements with the corporation regarding its third-party directives, she was released in late 2020. The visit to the WWE Performance Center and talk of a comeback were the last things we heard before Vega's husband, Aleister Black, was released on June 2 as part of budget cuts.

According to an update from Fightful Select, Vega was set to return to the main roster three weeks ago. In June, she was labelled as a heel on the SmackDown women's division roster in internal records. There's no indication on why Vega hasn't returned to the WWE storylines yet, but word going on is that she'll be involved in everything by the time the Money In the Bank pay-per-view takes place on July 18. Since leaving WWE, Vega has concentrated on acting and video game streaming, and has not appeared in any other wrestling events. At one point, she was supposed to be on her way to AEW, but nothing came of it.

Keep an eye out for more.
