Impact Wrestling Draws Record Low Audience, Possible Reason For The Number
According to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, Impact Wrestling only got 69,000 views on AXS TV this past Thursday. In the main event, Kenny Omega and The Good Brothers defeated Sami Callihan, Moose, and Chris Sabin.
The audience was the lowest in the show's history. The only other time the show drew fewer than 100,000 views was on September 8, 2020, when it faced off against NXT, which drew 78,000 people.
Impact received a 0.02 rating in the 18-49 demo, which is the third lowest in the show's history on AXS, according to WrestleNomics. It's the demo's lowest rating so far this year. The rating was down 33.3 percent from the previous week's 0.03 rating.
The figure includes both live and same-day viewers (those who watched on DVR the same day), and was likely influenced by a malfunction with certain systems' guide listings. On Thursday, Impact issued a warning to fans, stating that there were technical issues with the guide listing, causing the show to not appear correctly or to appear in the wrong time slot. Because of the malfunction on those systems, DVRs did not capture the show, and some viewers may have tuned in thinking it wasn't on.
