According to Fightful, WWE was interested in Moose for both NXT and the main roster, with talk that Moose would skip NXT in favour of RAW or Smackdown. However, no offer was ever made because Moose found Impact's offer to be so appealing that he re-signed with them before a WWE offer could be made.
WWE isn't the first company to show interest in Moose. Following his departure from Ring of Honor in 2016, the former NFL star was reportedly approached by WWE, as well as Impact and Lucha Underground. Moose was anticipated to join with WWE and make his NXT debut with former WWE stars Aleister Black and Killian Dain. Instead, Moose signed with Impact after WWE apparently lost interest in him due to previous charges of domestic violence.
Moose has signed a two-year deal with Impact, which will keep him with the promotion until the summer of 2023. He made his most recent appearance for them at Impact Against All Odds, where he fought Kenny Omega for the Impact Wrestling Championship but lost.
