The Diamond Mine, which also contains Tyler Rust, Hideki Suzuki, and Malcolm Bivens as their manager, debuted on NXT TV lately. Strong agreed to terms on a contract extension before the group's debut, and before his wife Marina Shafir was freed on June 25th, according to Fightful Select.
Strong is said to play a significant role in NXT's 2021 plans. Strong is said to be factored into the plans as officials look to add marquee value to the NXT Cruiserweight Title this year. The company has big plans to feature the cruiserweight division this year, using more top names and storylines within the division, and Strong is said to be factored into those plans as officials look to add marquee value to the NXT Cruiserweight Title. Strong is presently involved in a dispute with the reigning Cruiserweight Champion, Kushida.
Numerous NXT wrestlers have been removed off television and eventually brought back after negotiating to new contracts in the meantime. While there has been a lot of movement on the WWE roster recently, numerous stars have also committed to new contracts.
We don't know when the Strong vs. Kushida title match will take place, but we'll keep you informed. On the June 29 episode of NXT, Strong defeated Asher Hale in singles action after The Diamond Mine debuted on the June 22 broadcast.
Keep an eye out for more.
