PROBLEMS UNTIL NOW IN REBRANDING OF GFW

WHEN REBRAND OF IMPACT WRESTLING TO GFW HAPPENS IMPACT WRESTLING IS MAIN HEADING IN UPCOMING ONE NIGHT ONLY SERIES.

Last week the breaking news of Impact Wrestling getting rebranded to Global Force Wrestling created buzz in the world of pro wrestling. The reports were that the rebranding will start right at Slammiversary 2017. It was expected that the word "Impact Wrestling" will be removed from the Impact Zone and will be replaced with GFW branding. As Slammiversary 2017 turned out to be one of the best pay-per-view company has ever produced, it would have been so great in terms of marketing if they have introduced the GFW branding there. Instead they just have a small branding of GFW to the existing Impact Wrestling logo now. You can see the image below:

It is clear from the above logo that Impact Wrestling is produced by GFW. It would be more great if they replace GFW with the logo of it. The following is the promo of One Night Only Series with Amped anthology.

You can see that it is referred that "Impact Wrestling: One Night Only". If you are replacing Impact Wrestling with GFW then why should you call it  "Impact Wrestling: One Night Only" ? The naming exactly be "GFW: One Night Only". It will really make sense out there. "Impact" is just the name of television show and GFW is really the name of wrestling promotion.

Also the website remains to be Impact Wrestling. You should keep the website impactwrestling.com as home to provide all the details of your TV show and the rest of the details including live events, One Night Only etc. should be provided on globalforcewrestling.com . The linking in between the websites will help any casual user to be friendly with them.

In the final thoughts, when we look on we can see that the TNA initials where completely removed and people started to recognize the organisation as Impact Wrestling. If the line GFW/IMPACT Wrestling is used moving ahead it will be so difficult for the organisation to be known as GFW.
